Burnin up ass with fast trax stop that

Twinkle Man Notes in LF Legacy Disk

Twinkle Man Notes:

The files are divided into 2 parts.  The reason for this was that my video capture card couldn't create .AVI files that exceeded 2 GB.

Twinkle Man was a movie made in 1996.  This film has permeated throughout American culture since then, and has made a subconscious impact on the youth.

The movie is still enjoyed and studied by many who possess the copy of the videocassette and passed on from person to person.  It is estimated that over 100 video cassette copies exist.  Copies exist all the way from Florida to Washington state, even Wisconsin and Massachusettes.

The movie is true magic.  It represents the excitement of utilizing every moment to the fullest, and just going with your impulse. We hope you can enjoy it on  the computer as much as people have enjoyed it on videocassette for the past 3 and a half years.

It takes more than 1 viewing to fully appreciate its value.  Many people view the movie nightly and learn the entire dialogue.  When you memorize it word for word, it begins to sound like a song, and then you will understand highest meaning of the movie.

Twinkle Man II attempted to recapture the feeling of Twink 1, but because it was planned and not captured in the "sense of the moment" it didn't create the same magic as part 1.  It still is a fine film though.  The film was never completed.

You own a piece of the 23rd Street culture.  Enjoy it and pass it on to a friend.

Peace,
Director Jonathan Lippe

-----------------------------------------

The inclusion of the early albums is to show how the group matured and improved itself, and brought everything to a grand finale with THE FINAL TOAST.

Each album represented a different part of living on NW 23rd Street.

Some noteworthy songs on these albums:

Lost Ones (3rd album)- true story about losing our friends to the drug game

Drift Away (5th album) - part 2 to Lost Ones which goes more in depth about the drug game and describes how everything went down.

Red Skies - (4th album) - introduced Canoflauge to the world. The first legitimate hit song we've ever had. If you take Red Skies and the concept for THE FINAL TOAST, and then watch Bone Thugs N Harmony's video "IF I COULD TEACH THE WORLD" at the ending, you will find that LF/UD has been talking about pretty much the same thing.  At the end of the Bone video, they are having their own Final Toast (drinking wine in those white outfits) and then the skies turn red, and the end of the world occurs.
These similarities happened by complete coincidence.  Red Skies was recorded in 1995, and the title for The Final Toast had been conceived since 1996.

The Legacy - (6th album) This song was requested to be made by Lamps (he raps third on the song).  He wanted us to take the style back to the 199666 Prophecy style, with the dark other dimension type raps.  Listen to this song with expensive headphones and it will put you into another world.  It was specially engineered by Phatboy.

Livin It Up - (6th album) This song was a song that Phatboy and 808 Pimp knew would come someday but didn't know when.  One day it just was sent to them from a higher source, and has been enjoyed all over the world.

Gettin High On The Southside - (7th album)  This song came out of nowhere, and just one day was sent from heaven to us, and people all over the world have enjoyed it.  It is part 2 to Livin It Up and was also hypothesized by Phatboy and 808 Pimp that it would eventually come to them, it was just a matter of when they channeled their souls to the otherside of life.

Institutionalized - (7th album) This is the most confessing song we ever made.  Its very dark.  Its about how we've manipulated others and how people manipulate because of their own fear and lack of self confidence.

..... every song that was recorded was a spiritual moment.  Even the not so good songs.  To vibe with other people musically is such a high moment of connection.

Our life stories are captured in the lyrics.  Most of the stuff we talk about on the songs really occurred... probably on 23rd Street.

These discs are called LF THE LEGACY, not to sound all special, but because it truly is a legacy that should be shared with the world to watch how we grew.  We lived every day to the fullest, and urge others to do so too.  While you're on the planet, you might as well go out and create.  You can rest all you want when you die and lay in a grave, but while you're here, you might as well go and do something. Really what we captured in the songs and in the movies, isn't even a fraction of the amount of stuff we did.  This  disc also isn't a complete collection of all that LF had to offer.  Its everything we were able to fit onto 1 data cd.  We couldn't fit the photographs, or the magazines we used to print and send around school and a whole bunch of other stuff.  Other things are available on the website.

On these discs is over 465 files, 250 songs storytellin the life we lived, and over 50 video files, 2 movies, and I'm sayin that its not even a fraction of what we did.  Its been a crazy and enjoyable life.  And we want to share what we have captured on video and audio with the rest of the world so that everyone can own a piece of the majestic 23rd Street culture.
NW 23rd Street was probably the most interesting place to be from the years 1979-1999.
We present to you LF THE LEGACY.

Enjoy it and pass it on.
Jonathan Lippe

Spread the word about the 23rd and LF Legacy that they are now leaving behind to this Earth.

Everything extant on these discs will in the near future be special underground files of footage.

After the millenium, LF and 23rd will emerge as a major force in the entertainment industry.

This journey includes you and every person that you pass these files on to.
When we reign, you will know that you were a part of the process that made it possible.  Every fan, every person that spreads the word, and everyone that holds the vision becomes part of the legacy.
